What to expect ?

AquaVibe classes consist of practicing aerobic exercises in range of shallow and deep water (depending on own comfort level). All coached by a qualified aqua fitness instructor set to music.
AquaVibe caters to everyone. Providing beginners, intermediate and advanced versions along with active senior, mums and bumps, and aqua dance.
You will explore and perform:
Shallow water exercises in a vertical position in water depth of waist to chest level. Horizontal workout can be performed also with floating equipment. Aqua dumbbells, kickboards and swimming noodles, buoyancy belts, gloves are some of the equipment you will use. It’s a great cardiovascular, and muscle-toning workout using water resistance with low impact on the joints.
Deep water exercises in water depth that allow the participant to remain a vertical position without touching the pool bottom using flotation equipment as buoyancy belt or swimming noodle. It’s a great cardiovascular workout where there is no impact on the joints.

Exercising in the deep or shallow water (depends on participant’s swimming ability) is a fun way of achieving a full-body workout and comes with benefits its land-based equivalents can’t offer.

Why exercising in water than on land?

Many participants who are unable to exercise on land can be comfortably active in the water with additional bonuses you can only get from exercising in the water.
The main advantage of exercising in water is that it offers resistance in all directions, compared to land exercises where you work only against gravity. Because of the cushioning effect that water provides, this form of exercise is particularly beneficial to anyone at risk from bodily stress, including the elderly, overweight, or those recovering from soft tissue injury.

In fact, water exercises: tone and re-define your body, improve endurance, help circulatory problems with the draining and massaging action of the water, allow you to work out with low joint impact.

Multiple Benefits

Water fitness can be fun and motivating while providing several physical benefits.

Weight Loss

Yes aqua fitness exercises are good for weight loss.
In aqua fitness class your body can burn about 450 to 700 calories per hour. Water provides resistance to the movement in all directions, which means each movement, requires more effort and ultimately burns more calories than most land base exercises.
The actual amount you burn will depend on your size, the intensity of your movements, as well as water temperature and depth. In fact, water exercises will help to tone and re-define your body.

Low Impact

Exercising in water makes you feel about 90 percent lighter than exercising on land. When you jump or run in the water, your body does not experience the same impact that these moves cause on land. This makes water aerobics an ideal activity for those with arthritis, back problems, foot or leg injuries, and knee conditions. Pregnant women and the obese also benefit from the reduced impact.

More Discrete
If you find other group exercise classes intimidating because of complex choreography, exercising in water offers some discretion. Most moves are performed underwater so only you know if you missed a step.

Water Aerobic classes are an excellent fitness solution to loose weight, build strength, tone muscle, rehabilitation (injury rehabilitation, maintain fitness level during injury) and general health and wellness, without straining your joints and muscles as happens on land based exercises.

In fact

Whichever Aquavibe class you choose to do on a regular basis, it will bring you several benefits and improve your physical form by being /exercising/moving in the water.
